I hope for a while people will be happy - at least its rare appearance has made folks grateful for a while. I'm sure too soon the melting/flooding from all the snow we've gotten will be problematic, and then it will be too hot!
Personally I am SO looking forward to not being cold. Of course as soon as it becomes a bit warm everyone feels compelled to set the thermostat at a temperature lower than they kept the heat during the winter. Go figure.

Reddigs
Jack and Jer and I went to Logan to celebrate Easter and Jack's birthday, and then Jack & I went back up Thursday evening for Johnny & Matthew's Scout award ceremony, and we had a great time watching the kids interacting. It's always nice to have a good reason to be able to tell them how great we think they are.

Snow
It's snowing out again today (Sat. APRIL 9th - yes APRIL). I guess that's springtime but I wish it wouldn't. It's fine in the mountains, but I haven't been able to prune my roses, and my poor flowers are suffering and I'm not able to be there and enjoy them.
I was disappointed that the women's fellowship in Logan were having their luncheon and I couldn't go - I would have liked to see them all, and to have spent the time with Cyndi, as well. However, I think I'm really glad I'm not having to drive up there over the pass, in the snow, not knowing whether I'd make it over, and wondering about coming back.
It's also snowing at Alta, so it will be cloudy with poor light, and there's over a foot of new snow which is great if you know how to ski in it. At least I'm spending time with my honey.

Good Grief - It's Fall Already
OK - so I'm taking a couple minutes to update - at least I have the newer look picture up now. I still really like the other picture. Yup - letting go is really one of my major issues. Guess it's good when it's friends and not so good with things.
The year hasn't been the greatest. Jeremy's career move to Boston was good for him at this point in the economy, but we had so much enjoyed the luxury of having him here. He was able to rent his house in Sandy which was helpful for him as well.
The disaster of losing Andrew really rather wrecked the summer, and drastically changed our lives forever. It did however bring the family closer in many respects, making us more aware of the value of what we do have, and of keeping current in our relationships. We miss that little bundle of energy and smiles, but work at finding a way through the grief to continue on.
Time at the beach was a welcome respite and an opportunity for reflection and support, as well as time together with Jeremy & Carolyn, and with Kymmie's family. Too short as ever.

Taxes done - breathing space to tidy up the email & play with some pictures. Then the women's spring luncheon at church with Colleen Down and others. Click here to see the pictures
Worked some more at the computer till Jeremy picked me up and we went to Ogden to the Hostler's Model Train Show - super fun even if trains aren't your passion because the scenes portrayed show great artistry in miniaturization, and story telling and humor. Also they have mineral, antique car, and gun collections to see if you have time. We met up with Reddigs there who had run Jack's train on the Z scale layout and toured a lot of the building. It's always fun to get together with the family.
